Viking Shoes

If you are looking for top quality Viking footwear that can withstand heavy usage, then look no further! These shoes are made with the same, meticulous craftmanship as handmade modern shoes.
These shoes are inspired by the characteristic turnshoes. Viking Age shoes lasted only up to 6 months, so we’ve upgraded these with tough, thicker leather soles that can withstand a lot of wear an tear. There is also a rubber sole alternative for those wanting maximum comfort and durability.
The leather is untreated. If you will use them in wet conditions, it is a good idea to use leather dubbin to protect them. The leather soles can be slippery at first, but carefully sanding them will immediately give them a better grip.
- Period: 800 AD to 1066 AD
- Material: Leather and antler
- Color: Brown
- Leather sole or Rubber sole alternatives
- Thickness of leather sole: 5-7 mm
- Thickness of upper leather: 2-3 mm
- Handmade and therefore slight variations may occur.
